Heather Day

Owner/ Licensed Funeral Director

Heather is a licensed funeral director and owner/manager of the R-A-R Monument design and sales and lead Funeral Director for Memory Lane Sunbury. Heather enjoys working with families designing custom monuments and arranging funeral service for immediate or pre-need. She is often seen with her chihuahua Milo. Heather is married to Richard Day, and they reside in Sunbury Ohio.

Milo is working on being an office pup and will hopefully become a snuggly therapy dog one day. Heather and Milo are available by appointment for convenience of the families they serve.

Gregory Gaydos

Assistant

Greg is the friendly face you will see when you visit the Sunbury office. Greg assists with monument sales & settings. Greg enjoys the company of his therapy dog, Stella Rosa. Stella is dedicated to helping Greg and most visitors don’t even know she is in the office. Gregory keeps the office clean and running efficiently. Greg is also the son of Heather & Richard, and he attends a Life Builders program part time but is often in the office in the afternoon til closing time. Greg enjoys meeting new people and enjoys helping others when he can.

Richard Day

Owner/Manager

Richard is owner/manager of the R-A-R Monument setting services and a crematory manager/operator of Memory Lane Cremation Services. Richard grew up in Sunbury, graduated Big Walnut HS and enjoys living on the family farm. He is often seen with his buddy Colt, a young Doberman that is friendly and full of energy. Richard specializes in the large granite sales and settings including mausoleums, columbaria and other special projects.

Richard is available at Sunbury, Gahanna and Canal Winchester offices for pre-need funeral planning or monument sales.

Jeff Gordon

Head monument setter

Jeff has been with our company for the last 3 years. He spends the majority of his time in the spring, summer, and fall on the road installing monuments in cemeteries. During the offseason, he is busy doing maintenance at one of our cemeteries, Union Grove Cemetery. Jeff is always taking on many other smaller projects as well for our business'. In his free time, he spends every moment with his daughters, they tend to keep him on his toes. We are very lucky to have a handworker like jeff who has become like family to us.

Erik Day

Setting Manager

Erik is the oldest son of Richard & Heather. Erik has high attention to detail and works with everyone at R-A-R Monument to assure high customer service beginning to end. Erik is married to Caitlin, and they enjoy their 4 pups and look forward to working with you on your special memorial projects. You can find Erik at all 3 locations of our family run businesses.

Jerald Gaydos

Sales Manager

Jerry is our sales Manager; Jerald is the youngest son of Heather & Richard. His young creative energy helps him work with customers to design custom or traditional monuments. He can think outside the box and works with our customers to personalize each memorial; He is also completing the EMT program so he can further help people in the community. Jerald is married to Alyssa; a local 4th grade teacher and they reside in the Westerville area.
